Welcome to Good Shepherd Church and to one of the most exciting "experiments" in Catholic Faith Communities. The pages presented in this section do a remarkable job of clearly stating the similarities to and distinctions from Roman Catholic practice that make Good Shepherd "the Catholic Church as it should be."

The existence of our independent Catholic parish is not inspired by a perceived need to "update" the Church. In fact, our parishioners are people who desire to celebrate the earlier, simpler faith which was treasured by the first Christians. The modifications to Catholic Church discipline we have made, are the result of a careful comparison of contemporary Catholic practice with the ministerial style of Jesus as presented in the Gospels as well as with earlier Catholic tradition.
