When scheduled, a Saturday Vigil Mass is celebrated at 4:00 PM in the "Upper Room" (Suite 25) at our parish offices, 5230 Cark Avenue in Lakewood, California.

Mass is celebrated each Sunday at 9:30 AM in the Grand Banquet Facility, 4101 E. Willow St. (corner of Willow and Grand Ave.) in Long Beach, CA. Free parking and main entrance off of Grand Avenue.

A Family Mass is celebrated in conjunction with our Religious Education Program for our children during the school year. It takes place in the "Upper Room" (Suite 25) at our parishes offices. Ample parking is available in the rear of the building.

God definitely takes his time. He has engaged us here at Good Shepherd for over ten years in a ministry which has finally reached, not maturity, but the beginning.

Being part of a generation which seeks a sign, we at Good Shepherd treasure a true miracle in our community which we hope will recommend us to you. Without prompting or goading, in fact, without preaching or catechesis of any kind, no one leaves the Liturgy before the recessional ends. How's that for a minor miracle in a Catholic church?

Certainly at numerous times along the way, we thought we had arrived at the point when our goals would soon be met. Like the Apostolic Church which, at first, stood around waiting for the return of Jesus, we waited for Good Shepherd to "take off"! Years later, and after numerous errors as well as victories, we humbly abandoned our goals and respectfully bowed to His. We realize also, that we will always be at the beginning.
